Out Of This World

Alright, time to show your age. Got 23 minutes and 23 seconds? If your reading my blog then i bet you fucking do. Now, I intentionally did not tell work friends that this is footage of a video game, i just said, lets watch this, it goes for 23mins.. It actually made a pretty kool animated short movie, and at one point convincing them it was a game that was played and recorded, then uploaded, was difficult!

I found this video, along with a bunch of other fucking awesome games from the late 80s and early 90s on youtube. This game has no dialogue, just music and sound effects. This was so far ahead of its time, its almost totally impossible to comprehend. Well, maybe not 'impossible' but its just so awesome.
See if you can see what i mean.

What will really annoy me is people will see the game footage and say "Thats crap" without even experiencing the atmosphere of the game.. Well fuck you moron, think back to 1991 when Super Mario was out and you were mashing that 'A' button to jump up and down, whilst i was off on Another World running, jumping, solving puzzles, and shooting aliens with my laser pistol.

And yes, i know the title screen says "Another World" which was the Euro name for it.

Without YouTube, we'd be totally fucked. Think of how many bar fights and car crash compilations you've seen on youtube...
